Silvery-white hard, malleable, and ductile metal
It is a fairly good conductor of heat and electricity
Dissolves slowly in dilute acids but, like iron, becomes passive when treated with nitric acid
Finely divided nickel adsorbs hydrogen
Nickel metal have good ferromagnetic

Wires : 8.0mm diameter to 0.122mm diameter. (0.315 diameter to 0.0048 diameter).
Strips : Width 0.4-100mm, Thickness: 0.10mm and above.
